Hi
That usually means that the Vista file Sharing/permission is Not configured
correctly.
Make sure that the Software Firewall on each computer allows free local
traffic. If you use 3rd party Firewall On, Vista/XP Native Firewall should
be Off, and the active Firewall has to adjusted to your Network IP numbers
on what is some time called the Trusted Zone (consult your 3rd Party
Firewall instructions.

Thanks Jack,
I have to give up trying to network the vista laptop because now the user
accounts have been corrupted and I cannot log on at all. I get a message
that my account has been disabled. Please see your system administrator.
Can't log in in safe mode as adminsitrator without getting the message that
the password is incorrect. I guess I have to reload the operating system
unless you have any ideas about this problem. Maybe I should post it in a
different forum.
