Hello Johan,

The start and destination location appear to be the same in your post. What
is the location to where you copied the converter files ?

Ideally it should be C:\Program Files\Microsoft ActiveSync. If this is not
the path, then it appears you didnot install ActiveSync under the default
directory.

You could also try the Detect and Repair utility (under the Help menu) in MS
Word application or click Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel and select
support information, then click Repair since this will force a check of all
Office files associated with this application. This action should update
the converter files under the above location.

Hi Ed,

Could you confirm the whether you installed ActiveSync 3.7 in the default
folder or some other location?

Additionally, you have the option of not allowing ActiveSync to convert Word
documents.... In ActiveSync ->Tools -> Options -> Rules -> Conversion
Settings. The word documents should open alright on your PPC even if it is
not converted.
