Why did (any of) you change TIF's default location in the first place?

Did (all of) you change the default to a drive other than the one on which
Windows is installed (typically C:\Windows)?

I changed the default location of the TIF to another drive and I have the
navcancl error. I did this because I want to make backups but exclude the
contents of the TIF folder.
