Greetings:
IE 7 has a feature it calls Tab Groups. A Tab Group is just another name
for a folder of Favorites. In earlier versions of Internet Explorer, to
open all the Favorites in a folder of Favorites, you had to open them
one at a time. And, of course, each Favorite opened in its own window.
In IE 7 you can open all the Favorites in a Tab Group with one click -
and they open as tabs inside a single window. Many people have been
clamoring for this feature, since the competition has it.
Unfortunately - in my opinion - the implementation of Tab Groups is
tricky. If you only want to open one Favorite in a folder, you have to
be careful to click on the folder icon, or very close to it, to open the
folder. If you click too far to the right of the folder icon, closer to
the blue arrow, IE 7 thinks you want to open all the Favorites as a Tab
Group.
Another way to be sure of selecting only one Favorite is to re-activate
the Menu Bar and access your Favorites from there. That's what I do. I
only select Favorites from the new Favorites button when I want to open
a Tab Group.
