Hello F,

Applying Method Two in this tutorial will allow Vista to remember your
folder view settings for the window for when it was last closed.

It just so happens that I ran across another way to resolve this problem.
Saw it in the Jan issue of PC Magazine. Went through the procedure--simple,
quick and it actually worked just fine. Follow the link:
