Could you post relevant messages from the WCESMgr.log file. To open the file
do the following:

1. Click Start -> Run and type:

%temp%\wcesmgr.log

2. Click Ok or enter.

It appears ActiveSync is unable to connect with the device. Ports required
for successful communication seemed to be blocked. Have you tried Rob's
suggestion?
