I must be dumb but I don't understand how this will solve my problem :
(
by "In your domain", do you mean the external (.com) or the internal
(.local) one ?
why a "www" A record ? how is it related to "myapplicationserver" ?
[we already have a
www.mydomain.com which is completely different of
myapplicationserver.mydomain.com]
TIA

Hello Pierre,
Yes, assuming you have an internal zone called mydomain.com,you would simply create an A (host) record called myapplicationserver in the zone. If you do not have mydomain.com zone created, simply create it, and create the record. Since the website is being hosted internally, for any internal machine to connect to any of the resources that anyone on the outside normally connect to, such as www, ftp, myapplicationserver, etc, connect to, you should have an corresponding internal record with the internal IP in order for any internal machine to connect to it using the same name.
This issue is actually a normal issue, and the resolution/workaround when hosting public resources internally.
I hope that helps.
