Microsoft has a hotfix for the problem caused by KB 925902. It is KB 935448
and you can find the Hotfix at:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

It did work for me, it just might work for you.

Yes, i saw that...unfortunately it's for XP - this is 2000. It won't
run under 2000 (I tried).

Thanks for the help though!

To decline any updates you don't want to install open the yellow shield when
it tells you the updates are ready to install. Click on custom install as
opposed to express. Uncheck any updates you don't want and install the rest.
It's as simple as that. Good luck.

Thanks, but I'm talking about being able to turn *automatic updates*
back on again, and decline this one particular update in that
situation.

Usually there's a check-box you can use to "hide" the update, and it
won't get installed via an autoupdate download, but there doesn't seem
to be a way to stop this from getting installed when "Auomatic
Updates" are on. That's what I'm looking for.
