Windows Live Mail is a desktop application, not a browser application.
There is no Windows Live Mail tab in IE.
The blue text 'New folder' can not be deleted. It is a quick link and
present in all Hotmail accounts left hand pane for those that wish to
quickly create a new folder in their Hotmail account.

I erroneously created a folder called "New Folder" in my Hotmail account
via the Windows Live Mail tab in my browser (Internet Explorer 8). It is
in my folder list in blue text instead of black in the left pane. How do
I get rid of it?
I found the "gear" icon next to the Folders area in the left pane, and
went into "Manage Folders." It gave me a list of folders, some of which
I'd created earlier. "New Folder" was not in that list, but it was still
in the list in blue text in the left pane. I clicked on the blue text,
and up popped a box for me to rename the folder, which I did. The renamed
folder then showed up in the list of folders under "Managed Folders" as I
expected, but "New Folder" still remains in the left pane in blue text.
There appears to be no other option in Windows Live Mail to delete "New
Folder" in blue from the left-pane list. Is there another way? Do I need
to edit a particular file on my hard drive to delete it? If so, where can
I find it and how can I edit it without changing other information it
contains?
(Note: I also use the stand-alone version of WLM. Everything I do in WLM
browser tab also shows up in the stand-alone version, including folders I
create. However, "New Folder" does NOT show up in the left pane of the
stand-alone version, so the problem seems to be in the WLM browser tab
version only.)
Thanks to anyone who can answer.
