Hi,

i'm not sure to understand your question but you can maybe make this :

the DFS configuration is located in the registry and/or AD, then just
making a full system backup all the days and you will be surely protect

(you can find a xml file for windows 2008 dfs in each server but it will be
rebuild with ad information)

you can export with the dfsutil command the configuration of your DFS
structure, then reimport it later if you would.
