Not at all true. Check the news reports. There are many countries both
taking in Haitians and European countries have pledged about 5 times
in funding what the USA has.

Talk to the right-wingers, who have forced this model on us as a means
of increasing their profit.

While the talk show pundits would have you believe otherwise,
Redistribution of wealth in this country has not taken place because
of socialistic policies. It's taken place because of tax regulations
and corporate welfare carefully engineered since the Reagan era which
have systematically transferred wealth from the middle class to the
uber class.
At this point, 95% of the wealth is controlled by 5% of the
population. The middle class earns effectively. less money than it did
in the 1970's. The only reason the right wing howls about taxes for
you and me (and a raft of other issues they don't really care about)
is simply as clever ploy to manipulate millions of voters who are
gullible enough to believe that the neo-cons will save them $100 in
taxes next year. Meanwhile the neo-cons save and take billions and
continue the transfer of wealth to themselves i ever increasing
amounts. They don't care about jobs, security, or the well-being of
the country: they care only about enriching themselves.
Wake up and smell the coffee.
