It may be because you are trying it logged on as a local and not a domain account, and the zone is set to secure only.

To better help, provide the following to allow us to further evaluate the issue:

1. Which IP address in the error message is it trying to register to?
2. ipconfig /all of this server, and a sample DC/DNS server.
3. Did you join this machine to the new domain? If so, can you log on as the administrator account and try it?
4. What are your zones' update settings? Secure only, or secure and unsecure? This includes all forward and reverse zones.
