Well, Same here. Wouldn't totally install the SP2, then error message the
"Windows XP may not work correctly....It not only crashed my computer, I have
no personal files and can't even logon to windows. My windows password isn't
accepted. Even the Guest logon now has an unknown password. All my files are
"restricted access".
I had to completely reformat HD and reinstall XP. What fun.

I suffered the same fate with SP2. The Fix needs a major Fix. Anyway,
could you give me some tips on reformatting my hard drive and starting over?
I have never done that before and I am a bit nervous, but at this point I
guess I don't really have much to loose.
