Re-downloading an update

I have downloaded and installed a hardware update from Windows update. I have
since re-installed the programme and fear the update has been overwritten.
Now I cannot re-download the update from Windows Update. Is there any way I
can retrieve it?

Don't get driver updates from Windows Update. Get it from the device
manufacturer's web site.
