Hub? Hub?

Hubs are not necessarily dependable. Try your mouse plugged directly into
the computer.

If I use a hub (any hub - I've tried about five of them, some powered) with
a wired mouse and a wired keyboard. I can't get into safe mode because the
cursor races up endlessly, wrapping to the bottom when it reaches the top.
Although it sometimes goes the other way instead :-)

This might relate to the BIOS on this computer, but I can't be sure.
