I think it's a matter of when the engineer is on the isp site and
monitoring the equipment. I suspect they can't afford to run much
below capacity. Most of the small isps have gone away or merged so
the dialup Usenet future isn't too bright. I can go with Charter
but the performance is overkill and that's not my nature. Maybe a
DSL from Quest.
Anyway, everything is working well enough for now. Avira 10 is no
longer hanging during a scan so I'll drop MS and go back to Avira.
