I removed all anti-virus programs and download worked fine until
today. Error 13 again is occurring at about twenty percent tv guide
complete. It seems to get tired with my slow dialup connection.
Any suggestions? I'm in the process of reinstalling Avira. It's
full scan fails, but in works ok in the foreground, real time.

I don't consider it a bug to allow any files not to be checked during a
download that are received from your dial up provider without your approval
using a filter. The bug was that they did not have your approval before and
they have fixed that.

I think it's a matter of when the engineer is on the isp site and
monitoring the equipment. I suspect they can't afford to run much
below capacity. Most of the small isps have gone away or merged so
the dialup Usenet future isn't too bright. I can go with Charter
but the performance is overkill and that's not my nature. Maybe a
DSL from Quest.

Anyway, everything is working well enough for now. Avira 10 is no
longer hanging during a scan so I'll drop MS and go back to Avira.
