Re: Error code 0xFFFFFC06 when installing updates

Arrgh... I wish there was a "recall" feature on newsgroup posts..

The part I missed (a reading deficiency), is that the 'FC06' is a /JET/
ReadVerifyFailure, which points squarely at an issue with the DataStore.

Downloading one at a time probably won't make any difference. You likely get
the error on each one.

Try renaming %windir%\SoftwareDistribution to SoftwareDistribution.old and
restarting the AU service.

Then try the updates again.
