What is the exact error that is shown. Can you post it here please in it's complete
form

Maybe like this

Application Error
iexplore.exe cause a fault at xxxxxxxxx etc etc.

My new (Computer and OS) x64 install is doing the same thing as far as
explorer.exe crashing several times a day. With mine it seems clicking on
the start button or something thereafter will trigger the crash. I also
have many WMI errors. I also get the Kerberos error (HttpEvent). These
errors have occurred since day one, even when no other software was loaded.

If that's the same Kerebos error I am familiar that you are finding in
the event log, go to the log and let it take you out to MS to read the
MS help for that error. The MS info is of no use except to identify it
as a "known condition", but there's a forum response that highlights a
reg hack you can run do to shut off the error reporting. Vista still
generates it (MS flaw) but you don't get the message in the log.
