Very interesting question that I can't answer. I'd sure like to find an
answer, though. I'm cross posting this to a couple of groups that are more
topical.

You can still do this in Vista. Open a command prompt, navigate to the
parent folder and then do "dir >{whatever you want to call it}.txt"
