Nancy, have you tried doing an "offline" System Restore by booting to the
Vista DVD and using the recovery options? This is a way to work around any
interference being caused by third-party apps like antivirus, etc. Another
developer suggests running Chkdsk on the volume you are trying to restore to
clear up any volume errors.
