All I can think of to try is to boot to safe mode and once there, use
System Restore to restore the computer to before you deleted the programs.
Actually that might be a choice right on the boot screen, but I can't go
there right now to look, without losing this thread :-)
In the safe-boot screen there is also an option to restore to last known
good configuration; if just a restore fails you might need to do that.
A final thing to try is the repair option on the same boot screen. It is
very slow, and it is pretty scary, because it seems to do nothing for a
half hour or more. And sometimes, it actually does do nothing, sadly.
