sometimes vista won't start
due to some kind of hardware
change.
mine wouldn't start this
morning until I performed
the below:
what I would try is to boot
into the bios and set the
settings to the default state.
then as it reboots get into
the diagnostic boot menu
and try "last good configuration"
you may have to hold down the
f5 key or the f8 or both
immediately after to bios
testing at startup to pull
up the special boot menu.
