Don't be so concerned about making a daily restore point if you turn
off your computer. Having a lot of restore points isn't normally of
much use... but if you think you need more, you can always make one
manually before shutting down.

I actually have a Quick Launch shortcut pointing to a file named
createrestorepoint.vbs that I placed in my root directory. It makes
creation even easier than it would otherwise be.
