That's not a Media Center question, I'm sure.

The red-only flag in folders in Vista and 7 is used for an entirely
different purpose, which I have forgotten. Your problem is doubtless
elsewhere.

Go to a Windows 7 or Vista group and look for read-only folders there.
There are explanations which have been posted, I just don't remember
the answer.

Thanks for the info. I think I'll check into my iTunes settings now :-)

BTW, I seem to have typed "red-only flag" above. Maybe I really meant
"read-only flag" ;-)

Interesting. My iTunes option "Keep iTunes media Folder Organized" is
set, and I've had no problems.

Maybe it's because I haven't been adding media elsewhere than in iTunes
directly, and/or I haven't told iTunes to look around. But I'm really
confused about what's happening in your case, so I'll wait for someone
(you or another person?) to make it all clear.

I do share the iTunes library, i.e., make it accessible to other
programs (e.g., Windows Media Player).
