Hi! Thanks for this solution! It seems to have worked (no forced upgrade
so far) but it will not allow me to run the audio and video setup.

The reason why I wanted to go back to 8.5 is because of cam/audio
issues. My friend and I are both running logitech web cams and
plantronics bluetooth/usb headsets. I was running V8.5 and she was
running 2009. When I upgraded to WLM 2009, we were still able to
connect, but the audio started using what I'm guessing is noise
cancelling on our headsets (which I cant seem to disable). So whenever
she speaks, I dont hear the first word and vice versa. Noise or speaking
etc. seems to start up the audio because of the noise cancelling. The
cam images are also stretched as if we have really long faces, and it's
more pixelated and the video stalls more often than when I was using
8.5.

I'm guessing that going back to 8.5 was my only option, but if anyone
knows of a way to use v2009 and correct my audio/cam issues, I'd
appreciate it!

If not, I'm guessing I cant access audio and video setup in Win2000
compatibility mode, but I'm not positive that this is the issue. Anyone
else have this problem?

BTW I'm using Vista 64-bit.

Thanks!
Fiona

Actually I think I should post my dilemma as a new topic! But I'm still
running 8.5 in Win 2000 mode with no problems (other than the audio not
working).
