Many computers give you the option to set a temporary boot order with a key
press. On computers that don't, you will need to get into the BIOS to set
the boot priority. Refer to the computer manual or Acer's tech support page
for what key(s) to press on your particular model.
However, AFAIK Acer laptops don't come with real operating system disks,
only recovery disks and you don't want to boot with the recovery disk
anyway. Acer has probably installed the Windows Recovery Environment on
your laptop. Restart the computer and as it is starting repeatedly tap the
F8 key. This will get you to a diagnostic menu. Use the arrow key to select
"Repair your computer". You can follow this tutorial to do a System Restore
from the Windows Recovery Environment:

There are pictures and it isn't difficult. Choose a System Restore point to
a date just before your daughter did whatever it was she did.
