I am also having the same problem. I am not able to update using windows
update site. The last time I remember doing an update was sometime the end
of July 2004. I dont remember what updates I installed at that point; but
since then I have been having this problem. I am running windows xp home
edition. Any suggestions ?

It is really ironic that something like this should happen at the time when
Microsoft is releasing all the security patches !! :-) and we are not able to
install those!

Thanks,
Prakash
