The best place to start is the Product Documentation
- Deployment Guide
- Operations Guide
- Step By Step (Installation) Guide
which is all found in the TechNet Library at
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/l...96(WS.10).aspx

The next best resource would be an archive of this newsgroup, if only a
reliable one actually existed.
I'm hearing mixed comments about Google Groups these days, but that would be
the place to start.

Then an archive that is easy to access is the Win2008\WSUS forum on Technet
http://social.technet.microsoft.com/...rwsus/threads/

Finally, I've done a series of webcasts (6 or 7, I think) over the past
several months that I think* are pretty good resources for learning about
WSUS. You can find those webcast in the Webcasts Library at EminentWare's
website:

The webcast on WSUS Operations (the first one I did) may be a good source of
information for this question.

That's a bit harder to do, because both tools don't always have the same
content.

But ultimately it revolves around the WSUS Administrator being familiar with
the content being released, and ensuring that required update are properly
approved.
