Are you sure the problem is with the hub or with the port it is connected
to?
I would go to Device Manager (Control panel/system/Hardware/Device Manager)
and delete everythin under the Universal Serial Bus Controller tab. Then
reboot and the USB drivers will now be automatically restored.
Before trying the hub connect a USB device directly into the machine and
make sure the port is active.
