If verizon gave you a new router, then get on the phone with them and
have them help you connect your machine to the their router and to the
Internet. It should be free support.

It can be, that your router is hidden. That means that nobody can't see the
router.
You need to go over our main computer and look in the advanced settings if
the
router is hidden. If so, than deactivat this option and set a password, so
that no-
body can get into it.
