I had the same problem - IE was slow and after one or two page loads, all
pages would come up as "Page Could Not Be Displayed". When pages did load, it
seemed as though images would be left out. At any rate, until someone has a
good solution to this, I have uninstalled SP2 and will be perfectly happy to
revert to my XP edition minus SP2, which works fine. All of the protection
it's supposed to provide has been far more harrowing than the things it
protects against, at this point.
