Hi Bob,
You can install a Virtual XP image with IE6 preinstalled from MSDN or
Technet. There are some tricks involved to get it to share your Favorites
folders with the host OS.
Win7 offers downloads of the Windows Live Essentials (Live ID required for
usage of online services) (downloads.live.com) which includes the Live
toolbar which has online favorites storage which is popular for people with
multiple computers or who travel frequently.
Also there is Addthis.com which has tools to manage your online favorites
with the myriad of online Favorites services. Unfortunately none of these
online services offer the flexibility of your local Favorite folders.
Another is the Foxmarks toolbar, but I have not tested it on Win7 machines.
to view your favorites folders in the Shell (Windows Explorer) type
shell:favorites in your IE or Windows Explorer Address bar. From the Folder
View you can drag and drop directly from the IE8 Window.
(shell:favorites\links = the Favorites Bar folder which is still named Links
in the shell).
Regards.
