Presumably a SR wiped it out, so you'll need to redownload and install.
Before you install IE, make sure you read the release notes:

|I installed IE7 a couple weeks before it came out for all to install when my
| computer prompted it and had problems with some websites so I used System
| Restore to go back to IE6. I am thinking the problems may be worked out now
| and want to update to 7. Because it is already installed on my computer (I
| can find IE7 files when doing a search but am not sure if all the files are
| there), do I download the whole thing again? Will it just overwrite the other
| files or do I have to get rid of everything that was downloaded before?
