Re: IE7 in Vista and XP sp3

Hi,

Three possible causes come to mind:

1) Corrupted TIF files and/or dns resolver cache. From tools/internet
options, click the delete button in browsing history, then delete the
temporary internet files. Close up, and close the browser. Click start and
type cmd, then right click the menu entry that appears and choose 'run as
administrator'. From the prompt, run 'ipconfig /flushdns'. You should get a
successful message, then close the command prompt and retry the web sites.

2) Intermittent connection problems. For this you'll need to check the
physical connection points between your pc and external source. It's also
possible that the issue is with the network card or its drive file.

3) Malware. Many of these nasties block a browser's attempt to access
various sites. Formal scanning from safe mode can often resolve this, but
sometimes more extensive work must be done.
