Have you tried running IE in 'no add-ons' mode, to see if this makes a
difference? Or you could reset IE, in which case all settings will be set
to Default, and you will have to re-install any add-ons.

Actually, it's a one-click fix. Open IE Help, then type 'reset' in the
search box. It should be the top-most result. You can read all about it
before you do it.
