Hello,

Thanks for your post and Cris' input.

As Cris pointed, please let us know if you are installing Windows Small Business Server(SBS) 2003 or SBS 2008, instead of the Windows Server?

If you are referring to Windows Small Business Server, I would like to provide some information for your reference:

Question: I want to switch from using my existing DHCP server, such as a router device, to using Windows Small Business Server 2003 as my DHCP server.
Suggestion: You must disable the existing DHCP server, install the DHCP Server service on your computer running Windows Small Business Server 2003, and then configure the DHCP scope for your
network. Using Windows Small Business Server 2003 as your DHCP server ensures that your DHCP settings are properly configured for the local network. Not all DHCP scope options for the Windows
Small Business Server network can be configured for the DHCP service of all router devices.
For information about how to install and configure DHCP on your Windows Small Business Server network, open Help and Support and search for "Installing a DHCP server."

Regarding your concern about how to migrate work group computers and join computers to the Domain and migrate user's profile to SBS domain, please refer to:

Hope this helps. Also, if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to let me know.
