Re-install Windows Live Messenger 8.5?

Hi,
I just recently downloaded the newest 2009 Version of Windows Live
Messenger, and I HATE it. I want to put Messenger 8.5 back on my computer and
get rid of the new one, but I'm not having any luck. Help?

You haven't said whether you've got the Messenger 8.5 MSI installer or not?
If you have then it should be a simple case of un-installing messenger 9
then running the 8.5 installer.
If you don't have the installer, Jonathan Kay has a copy of it which you can
find here :-

Jonathan is a trusted source so no need to worry about viruses etc.

Thanks Colin. I did not have the installer, so I ran Jonathan's and it worked
fine. I'm super happy that I have my old messenger back!
