re installation help

hi, i have been searching for a way to fix this labtec webcam program not
installing, after getting the error 1904 ityped it in google and found this
info:-Error 1904: "A file has failed to register" is an InstallShield error
that means a file

cannot register. Try the following to resolve this issue.

1. Perform a search oÂ*n the hard drive for the file that didn't register.
(Click

"Start," "Find," and choose "Files or Folders." Windows 2000 and XP users,

click "Start," "Search," and choose "For files or folders.")

2. Right click oÂ*n the file and choose "Copy."

3. Perform a search for REGSVR32.EXE.

4. Right click oÂ*n REGSVR32.EXE and choose "Paste."

A message will appear saying the file is registered. Now try installing the
camera

software. If you still receive the 1904 installation error, try the "Clean
Boot"

procedure detailed below. If the clean boot procedure does not resolve the
1904

installation error, we recommend viewing the Microsoft Knowledge Base article

that deals with this specific error code.
i did a search and it didnt find the LVMcomp .dll file, this pc is barely a
week old, windows vista home premuim, 2gb ram, 320 gb hard drive, surley
there isnt a missing file already, is it possible to replace this missing file
