Re: Installing Vista updates

Hi,

I've got a que of updates that won't install.
I have an Acer T180 desktop with Vista Home Premium pre-loaded.
Acer have told me it's a problem with update #937287 and have directed me to
the MS web site regarding this.
Unfortunately, the instructions all seem to relate to having the
installation media available.
I've tried the restore function, but no go and I'm not sure about altering
the registry as, again, the instructions refer to using the installation
disks.

Can anyone tell me if I can still follow these instructions without having
the original DVD or can someone tell me how to get rid of this in some other
way?
