Hi,
Do you have a software firewall installed on your PC? Maybe that is
intereferring with ActiveSync.

Have you configured NPF to allow ActiveSync to work? What happens when you
disable the firewall?

You might open taskmanager, set cpu as the sort column and see what's
consuming cpu cycles when as comes to a stop.

If it's norton av, you can add the async executables to norton's exclusions.
