Cant see what this has to do with windowsupdate?
If you have a problem with IE7, then try the below

Please note - http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/...t/default.mspx

IE7 questions should be posted to the Internet Explorer General newsgroup as
below -

In your Newsreader:
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsof...plorer.general

If you need to use the Web Interface -
http://www.microsoft.com/communities...plorer.general

So where in your original thread do you mention anything about an 'update'?
I am afraid I am no clairvoyant - I am still not a clairvoyant.
Updates are given out every Black Tuesday - to which batch do you refer?
And which KB number do you think is responsible.
If you give no info or background then you will get no solution other than
to direct you to a group that may be able to help.
Read the below which may help with your posting
