RE: Internet explorer freezes in Windows update

I too have never really comfortably been able to use internet explorer since
I started using windows vista.

It at some point always freezes. It sometimes would freeze the whole system.

So, I have resorted to Firefox, though I would definitely have preferred
otherwise, since explorer used to do for me things (they may have been small,
few – but that is what preference is supposed to be about) that I cannot
(exactly) do with Firefox.

Are you running an old, outdated firewall such as " HackerSmaker " <sic>
or are you running TWO firewalls concurrently ?

And, what does IE freezing have to do with *Windows Updates*, which,
BTW, is the name of this newsgroup.
