I forgot to mention that for me, unfortnately, installing the MDAC 2.8
(MDAC_TYP.exe) did not correct the scripting errors in my HP Scanjet 3970
software.
Steps I took:
I backed out KB911562
I uninstalled the HP scanner software
Installed MDAC 2.8
Restarted computer
Reinstalled the HP scanner software
Tested, and scanner software worked fine.
Reinstalled KB911562 and I got the script errors.
Thus, I have backed out (once again) KB911562 so as to allow my scanner
software to function.
