Frazer Jolly Goodfellow,

What printer/scanner/copier is installed ?
If you download the update manually and save it-
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...B-6F18FE6921D4
when you run it, are three options presented ... Remove/Repair/Modify ?
If Repair is offered, choose it.
Is a reboot offered ? If not, run msxml4-KB927978-enu.exe once more and
there should be no options presented and it *should* install.

A firewall that actually works with Windows Update or an update named
KB927978 ?
I'm betting the latter and wish it was the former <w>
