i'm having exactly the same problem. it says update succesfull but every time
i put the computer on it's the same update

i'm running vista home premium. fraid i'm not completley computer savvy.
don't rally understand all the high tech stuff about command promp and all
that. i just want this update to be installed or to go away

Open a free support incident & tell that to the tech.

I think I've managed to solve the problem with KB954430. I found it in
program and features. I uninstalled it. Launched windows defender and
downloaded it again and that seems to have done the trick.
