Sorry to say, but I've seen this issue in a larger environment that was
running CA AV. I was one of the Exchange engineers but got caught up in
assisting to why some of the server failed to respond until a reboot. We
narrowed it down to two things, first we disabled the RSS/TCP Chimney
feature (Windows 2003 SP2and newer), and two we disabled CA's scan network
drives setting.
I've also seen it with one of my other customers that use Eset and found
disabling scanning did the trick. If you disable Eset completely, or for a
test, completely uninstall it, does the issue continue?
