Hello Singularity,

In addition to Meinolf's requested info, which hopefully you can
provide, was this machine created by an imaging-based software (such
as Ghost or Altiris), without using Sysprep? What you are describing
may mean that it has an identical SID to at least one other
workstation.

Or one other possibility... Has the default location to create machine
accounts been changed in AD to another location from the default
Computers Container, such as to an OU? I remember one other poster
many months ago had the same error, and it was a result of them
changing the default location for computer accounts in AD.

A DNS registration problem? On the workstation or server? What DNS
addresses are on the server and the workstations? If anything other
than the internal DNS servers, I can see why problems are occuring,
along with other problems that will occur with not using internal DNS
servers only.

I'll look for your new thread, but honestly since it was started here,
you could have kept going in this thread.
