An obvious conflict.
Try this:
Double click "My Computer"
RIGHT click the drive concerned, then select "Properties"
Then click the "AutoPlay" tab.
In the drop down menu for "Select a content type"
chose "Music CD"
You then have the "Actions" options.
You could opt for "Prompt me each time to chose an action"
for when you load a CD, or you could opt for:
"Select an action to perform" and then chose:
"Rip music from CD using Windows Media Player"
Once you have made your choice, click the "Apply" button then
the "OK" button.
Close all windows, load a music CD, and the option you chose
should auto start.
