Greetings,

You'll need to configure it manually for Messenger to know about it. To do so, press the Alt
key to bring up the main Messenger window, choose the Tools menu, then Options, then File
Transfer category, and you'll find the 'scan files for viruses using' option there.

I'm not quite sure what precisely you'll need for the path/executable for avast though.

Hi Jethro

In addition to Jonathan's post, when you click on the Browse button t
add the Avast scanner for Messenger, the file path is

"C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\ashQuick.exe
