I had the same problem. I couldn't install or remove anything, not even the
Windows Installer Clean up Utility. I did a system restore on a set date of
9\23 which was before I tried SP2. It worked thank God. I'm not installing
SP2. MS better fix the problems. MS incident report guy won't answer my
emails now, even they don't know how to fix it. I have ZoneLabs Pro and
Antivirus software. by the way Adobe reader stopped working too. No problems
now.
